SALISBURY — A member of the Trump family will speak during an event this week at downtown’s newest restaurant.

Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, will speak Wednesday at the recently opened Morgan Ridge Rail Walk Brewery & Eatery — located at 421 N. Lee St. She will be the featured speaker during a 6 p.m. event at the restaurant, according to an announcement from the Rowan County Republican Party.

There is no cost to attend the event, said Rowan GOP Chairman Stephen Kidd. However, drinks and food will not be provided for free.

Kidd asks that those interested in attending the event RSVP by sending an email to chairman@rowangop.org by noon on Wednesday.

Lara Trump is the wife of Eric Trump and a Wilmington native. She is also scheduled to appear Wednesday at events in Charlotte, Indian Trail and Huntersville. At those events, she will help the Donald Trump campaign open local offices.

Lara Trump’s event at Morgan Ridge Rail Walk will come exactly one week since the restaurant first opened to the public.
