Rowan weather: Warm today, chance of rain Thursday

Today will be mostly sunny and 89 again, with southeast wind around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Then we start having a chance of rain for tonight and Thursday, and then, the weekend looks glorious.

Tonight’s chance of showers is 20 percent, mostly before 10 p.m. The low will be 68 with south southeast winds calming in the evening.

Thursday starts with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, then a chance of showers after 1 p.m. It will be partly sunny and 88. Wind will come from the northwest at 6 mph in the morning.

The chance of rain Thursday night is 50 percent, with possible thunderstorms before 1 a.m. The low will be 66 with north wind at 5-7 mph. Little accumulation is expected.

That north wind will blow in cooler air for Friday, with a high of 79 under mostly sunny skies. Winds will shift to the northeast at 7-11 mph. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low of 62.

Saturday will be sunny and 81, with another low of 62.

Sunday will be sunny and 83, with a low of 63.

Labor Day will be sunny and 86, with a low of 64, and Tuesday will be sunny and 87 — warm weather will stick around for a while.
