SALISBURY — An argument left two shot at the intersection of Franklin and North Caldwell streets on Saturday night.

Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said officers were called around 9:20 p.m. with reports of shots fired and possible gunshot victims.

Lingle said there was “some type of argument” between several people at the parking lot near the intersection of Franklin and Caldwell streets.

One of the victims was either hit or pushed and fell to the ground and then shots rang out.

Two people were shot — Gerald Pinckney, 23, and Dondrea Seaman, 23. They were both driven to the hospital by private vehicles. Pinckney was flown out to Wake Forest Baptist Health and remained there on Monday. Seaman was driven by ambulance to Wake Forest Baptist Health and kept for overnight observation before being released.

No arrests have been made. The Police Department is still investigating the incident.
