Aug. 8 meeting to discuss bridge replacement on Stokes Ferry

SALISBURY — The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold an informal public meeting regarding the proposed replacement of the Stokes Ferry Road Bridge over South Second Creek in Salisbury.

The purpose of this project is to make the bridge safer for traffic.

The meeting will take place on Monday, Aug. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Morgan Elementary School cafeteria, 3860 Liberty Road, in Gold Hill.

The public can view maps displaying the location and design of the project online at http://www.ncdot.gov/projects/publicmeetings.

The purpose of this meeting is for NCDOT representatives to provide information and answer questions regarding this project. There will not be a formal presentation. The opportunity to submit written comments will also be provided at the meeting or by mail no later than Aug. 22.
