Kirby Graduation

Rachel Kirby graduated Sunday, May 8, 2016 with Masters of Arts in folklore from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her Master’s thesis was titled “Interpreting Historic Site Narratives: Duke Homestead on Tour.” She received the Archie Green Fellowship in Occupational Folklore and the Daniel W. Patterson Fellowship for Folklore Fieldwork.
A 2009 graduate of Salisbury High School, Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts in art history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013. This fall she will begin pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy in American and New England Studies at Boston University.
Rachel is the daughter of Rev. Drs. Barrie and Randal Kirby of Salisbury.
