History 

Experience 120 cemeteries — 2 p.m. July 17: Eastern Cabarrus Historical Society presents researcher Terry McManaway, local researcher, with the ECHS Award of Merit and walk with him through over 120 cemeteries in Cabarrus and surrounding counties as he shares his collections of treasures of who’s who and relates humorous stores surrounding his journey. Terry maintains a database of over 34,000 local burials along with over 50,000 digital photographs. Having completed photo surveys he can search his database for burials with as little information as the month of death. The ECHS Museum is located at 1100 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant.
