SALISBURY — A Rowan woman nicknamed Twisted Sister who’d been placed on the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office most wanted list has been charged with methamphetamine possession.

The Sheriff’s Office charged Jamie Kirk, 44,  with trafficking opium and possession of methamphetamine Monday. She remains in the county jail under a $75,000 secured bond.

According to a statement, members of the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit arrested Kirk at a motel in the 1400 block of East Innes Street.

She’d been wanted by the Sheriff’s Office following a search of her former residence in Spencer in March 2014. During 2014, Kirk was found in possession of trafficking amounts of opioids and a smaller amount of methamphetamine.

Investigators searched Kirk’s motel room and found her in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

Kirk has an extensive criminal history with a felony conviction for fleeing to elude arrest, and misdemeanor convictions for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer, second-degree trespassing, driving while impaired, injury to personal property, simple worthless checks and others.
