SALISBURY — Forecasters are calling for rain Saturday when Rowan Museum celebrates the 225th anniversary of President George Washington’s visit to Salisbury, so many of the day’s worth of activities have moved indoors.

Here is an updated schedule with revised locations:

• 9:45 a.m. Saturday — Opening ceremony, Stanback Room, Rowan Public Library.

• 10:15 a.m. — Period music, Recorders, Stanback Room.

• 10:45 a.m. — Period music, Fife and Drum, Stanback Room.

• 11 a.m.  — President George Washington’s welcome to Rowan County by Spruce McCay and other historical interpreters, Stanback Room.

• 11:35 a.m. — President George Washington speaks to the people of Rowan County, Stanback Room.

• 12:30 p.m. —  Storytelling, Rowan Public Library.

• 12:30 p.m. —  First reenactment of Ladies Tea with President George Washington, Wrenn House.

• 2 p.m. — Second reenactment of Ladies Tea with President George Washington with new script, Wrenn House.

• 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. —  Storytelling, Rowan Public Library.

• 3:45  p.m. President George Washington’s public farewell and departure, First United Methodist Church covered drive.

• 10 a.m.-4  p.m. — Living History Festival: Craftsmen and artisans demonstrating their skills/displaying wares, First United Methodist Church lobby.

Early American children games takes place in the Wrenn House, except during the teas.

An original 1791 gown will be on display at the Utzman-Chambers House Museum, open 10 a.m.-noon and 3-4 p.m.
