SALISBURY — Three teens face breaking and entering charges after a police officer saw them inside a vacant Stokes Ferry Road home.

Salisbury Police charged Austin Coy Coleman, 18, of the 300 block of West 14th Street, Brian Tajuante Kesler, 17, of the 100 block of Newsome Road, and Antwond Montairo Glenn, 18, of the 700 block of Victory Street, all with resist, obstruct, delay an officer, breaking and entering, and simple marijuana possession, all of which are misdemeanors.

Coleman was issued a $25,000 secured bond and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center. Kesler and Glenn were each issued a $5,000 secured bond and both have since been released.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Stokes Ferry Road on Friday just before 6 p.m. to a breaking and entering in progress. As the officer pulled up, he could see several males through a front window. The front door was open, and the males took off through the back door, said Police Capt. Shelia Lingle.

There were five people who ran from the house, and three were caught, she said.

The officer called for back up, but was able to catch three men. Glenn, jumped into a Lincoln Navigator, but was quickly caught. Kesler and Coleman took off on foot from the officer and were caught less than a mile away at Newsome Road.

Lingle said the other two are still being sought by authorities.

Coleman is currently on 18 months of probation for 2015 convictions of felony possession of weapon of mass destruction, felony possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun and misdemeanor discharging a firearm into an occupied property.
