Rowan weather: Showers and storms coming

The string of unsettled days begins today with a 30 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Any storm could become severe, with frequent lightning, heavy winds, small hail and downpours.

Our high today will be 84 under mostly sunny skies. Southwest wind will blow at 6-9 mph. Tonight we have a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, with a low of 63 and south southwest wind at 3-6 mph. Rainfall totals for the day could be up to .25 inches.

Thursday brings a 60 percent chance of storms and showers in the afternoon. Patchy fog is possible before 9 a.m, It will be mostly cloudy and 82, with southwest wind at 5-9 mph. Again, thunderstorms could become severe. About .10 to .25 inches expected.

The chance of rain drops to 40 percent Thursday night with a low of 60 and calming winds. Less than .10 inch of rain.

Friday has a 20 percent chance of showers before 9, then again until noon. It will be mostly sunny and 83, with winds from the north northwest at 3-7 mph. Friday night will be partly cloudy and 57.

Saturday will be partly sunny and 77. A 30 percent chance of showers moves in after 9 p.m., with a low of 57.

We have a 60 percent chance of showers Sunday, mainly after noon, with cloudy skies and a high of 74. The chance goes up to 70 percent Sunday night, with a low of 60.

Monday has a 60 percent chance of showers, too, along with thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy and 78. Monday  night has a 30 percent chance of showers and a low of 55.

And Tuesday also has a 30 percent chance of showers, with partly sunny skies and a high of 73.
