Salisbury Police continue to investigate a March 5 shooting that occurred behind the JC Price American Legion building resulting in the death of a local man and the hospitalization of his brother.

Police were called to the Legion, 1433 Old Wilkesboro Road, early that Saturday morning to reports that Antoine Terrell McGee, 29, and his brother Devon Daniel McGee, 24, were found shot behind the Legion building.

At around 9 a.m. that same day, Devon McGee died. Antoine McGee remains at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, hospital officials say, but they could not release details Friday on his condition.

Authorities have not released any new details in the shooting and no arrest has been made.

Nearly 10 years ago, 13-year-old Treasure Feamster, who was attending a teen party at the J.C. Price Legion, was shot and killed amidst gunfire between rival gangs. Her death put a spotlight on gangs and prompted the city to hold a number of gang summits aimed at combating violence in the city.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245. These calls can be made anonymously.
