• Today’s workshop cancelled, Housing Advocacy Commission (HAC) Community Involvement Committee and Code Services Committee. Staff will continue to research information needed for proposed Remedial Action Plan.
• Hall House Clean Up Day, Feb. 27, 9 a.m.-noon, 226 S. Jackson St.
• Third annual Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics, noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27: Registration $25, proceeds go to Rowan County Special Olympics. Food, deejay, costume contest, giveaways, trophies. At Elk’s River Park. Info at 704-654-6892.
• CAC/Tree Board awards committee, 4 p.m. Feb. 29, at 4 p.m. for biennial awards, City Hall first floor, 217 S. Main St.
