The Salisbury Business Center, 301 S. Main St., is collaborating with local artists to display an array of artwork in a variety of mediums.

With hundreds of people coming to the Salisbury Business Center a year to visit business tenants, to attend meetings, or to train at seminars, it is a natural partnership to highlight local artists.

From Feb. 1 through May 1, 2016, several artists will showcase their artwork, including artists from the Kannapolis Arts, Home of the Kaleidoscope Cultural Arts Festival. Kannapolis artists include Bailey Wingler, Liliana D’Ambra Litaker, Hope Holmes, Gloria Rodriguez, Cindy Hyland, Regina Burchett, Bill Smith, Darcey Wilson, Ethan Strickland, Diane Overcash, David Roman, Shane Manier and Amber Poteat.

Local artists Lewellyn Padgett, Ray Earnhardt, Sue Walls, Keyth Kahrs, Tatyana Shurtz, Carolina Kirkman, Clyde and Don Moore are also being highlighted.

Kannapolis Arts is a division of Downtown Kannapolis Inc. dedicated to developing arts and cultural experiences in Kannapolis and the surrounding communities. Their goal is to connect businesses with artists to work together, whether that is providing art for stores or creating a promotional mural or public art; to create a network that ties all of the various arts in the community and serves as a resource for artistic collaborations and partnerships with local businesses.

The exhibition is open to the public during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All artwork is available for purchase from the artists.

A reception will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 6-8 p.m., at the Salisbury Business Center. The event is free and open to the public.
