WOODLEAF — Two people were injured Sunday night following a single-vehicle crash at 1995 N.C. 801, near Meisemer Dairy Road, according to scanner traffic.

The vehicle struck a tree sometime around 8 p.m. One person was taken by ambulance to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center where they were later airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

At one point, emergency responders delayed air care until CPR was performed on a patient at the scene. A second patient was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
