Rowan weather: Warming today, then rain coming

It’s still very cold out there, 27 degrees, but we should eventually have sunny skies and reach a high of 50. A light breeze will blow from the south southwest at 5-7 mph. Beware of icy patches on the road and black ice.

Tonight will be clear and not quite as cold, with a low of 30. What did not melt today will likely refreeze.

Tuesday will be even warmer, with a high of 53, but we’ll also have a 30 percent chance of rain in the late afternoon. More south southwest wind will blow at 5-9 mph. Rain is likely Tuesday night after 9, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. The low will be 39.

Rain is likely before noon on Wednesday, still a 60 percent chance, and it won’t be quite as warm, with a high of 44. North northeast wind will blow at 5-8 mph. Wednesday night has a slight — 20 percent — chance of rain and sleet, with a low of 30.

We’ll still have a chance of rain Thursday, along with the possibility of freezing rain, but it’s just 30 percent. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny and 41. That 30 percent chance of rain lingers into Thursday night, with a low of 30.

Friday, finally, will be mostly sunny, with a high of 49 and a low of 31.

And it looks like Saturday will be nice, too, with sunny skies and a high of 54. The low will be 38.

Then spring pops in for a visit Sunday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 60.
