There are two tournaments coming up near us this month.

Morganton is having another week-end sectional from January 15-17. Eldon really runs a great tournament and the Morganton folks are wonderful hosts. If you are heading east that week-end you may want to play in the NLM sectional in Durham. For info on that event you can call 1-919-724-6239.

I am planning to have four Junior Fund Games in January. These games award higher points, but also cost $6 a game. The extra dollar goes to the ACBL to support their efforts to teach youth how to play bridge thus helping to strengthen the game.

Evergreen will have their games Jan. 8 and 22 and the Women’s Club will hold them Jan. 12 and 26.

There is still just one game to mention this week due to the holiday break. Winners at our January 5 Women’s Club game were: First, Fern Albracht and Betty Bills; second, Toni Iossi and Maggie Canup; third, Pat Featherston and Dick Brisbin; fourth, Judy Gealy and Pat Macon.
