Salisbury native, Luis Daniel Sosa-Andrade, commissioned as national bank examiner

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) recently announced that Luis Daniel Sosa-Andrade of Salisbury was recently commissioned as a national bank examiner. The commission qualifies Sosa to perform examinations of national banks, federal savings associations and their affiliates on behalf of the OCC. Sosa works in the Charlotte field office.

Sosa is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (class of 2010) and Salisbury High School (class of 2008). Sosa is the son of Marco and Estrella Sosa of Salisbury.

To obtain his commission, Sosa completed a rigorous program consisting of several years of class and field training, and a comprehensive exam, in the areas of OCC supervision and examination management, bank operations, capital, asset quality, management, earnings, liquidity, sensitivity, asset management, technology and compliance.

The OCC charters, regulates, and supervises all national banks and federal savings associations, and supervises the federal branches and agencies of foreign banks. Its mission is to ensure that national banks and federal savings associations operate in a safe and sound manner, provide fair access to financial services, treat customers fairly and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
