Rowan weather: Cold today, brutal tonight

It’s cold and dry out there this morning, with a temperature of 22.

Today is supposed to be sunny (but so was yesterday) with a high of 39 and north northeast wind at 7-9 mph. Tonight’s low will drop to a frigid 19, so be sure to bring pets in and make sure your pipes don’t freeze.

Wednesday will be sunny and warmer, with a high of 55. North northeast wind will blow at 3-6 mph. Clouds move in Wednesday night, with a low around 30.

Thursday will be partly sunny, with a high of 51 and more north northeast wind at 5-7 mph. A 40 percent chance of rain moves in Thursday night, with a low of 39.

Expect rain Friday, mostly before 2 p.m., with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. The high will be 50. The rain chance dwindles to 30 percent for Friday night, with a low of 42.

Saturday should be partly sunny and warmer, with a high of 58. Saturday night brings back a 40 percent chance of showers and a low of 45.

The 40 percent chance of showers continues Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and a high around 56. The low will be 36.
