On the fourth day of Christmas the weather gave to me four gloomy days, three patchy fogs, two thunderstorms and barely a glimpse of sun.
After a long weekend, the weather has changed little. Today we can expect showers and thunderstorms with patchy fog throughout the day. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
We’ll have mostly cloudy skies, with winds from the east at 9-14 mph this morning, then gusting as high as 21 mph. The high will be 64.
Tonight will be cloudy with showers and patchy fog. The low will be 49. East winds will continue at 6-13 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. Chance of rain is 90 percent.
Tuesday and Wednesday bring a chance of heavy rain and flooding, although the chance of showers Tuesday is just 40 percent. More fog will be around, with mostly cloudy skies again and a high of 58. Winds will blow from the south at 5-11 mph.
Showers are likely Tuesday night, with a 60 percent chance of rain. Thunderstorms will be possible in the early morning hours of Wednesday, with heavy rain expected in the thunderstorms.
The chance of rain on Wednesday is 90 percent, with another thunderstorm chance. The high will be 66 with south wind at 5-7 mph. Wednesday night’s chance of rain is 70 percent, with more thunderstorms possible. The low will be 54.
There’s no let-up for New Year’s Eve, either, with a 50 percent chance of showers, mostly cloudy skies and a high near 60. We may get a bit of a reprieve that night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 40.
New Year’s Day looks like it might be partly sunny, but significantly cooler, with a high of 49. Friday night’s low will be a cold 30.
Saturday, believe it or not, could be sunny, with a chilly high of 46 and an even colder low of 29.
And Sunday looks sunny, too, with a high near 48.
