Rudolph, with your nose so bright, we sure could use you today. We’re under a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m.

After Rudolph, we may need kayaks, because we are also under a flash flood watch until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

And, to top it ll off, we have a chance of severe thunderstorms today and tonight, with damaging winds and the possibility of an isolated tornado.

It will be a warm day, which could lead to the thunderstorms, with a high of 68. We have a 100 percent chance of showers and storms, with fog likely throughout the day. Winds will come from the south southeast, adding to the warmth at 5-10 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. At least a half to three-quarters of an inch of rain is expected.

Tonight we have a 90 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with more fog and a low of just 65 degrees. South wind will blow at 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Christmas Eve has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, more fog and cloudy skies with a very warm high of 74. South southwest winds will blow at 9-11 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. The 40 percent chance of showers and storms continues Thursday night, with a low of 63 and more south southwest wind at 6-9 mph.

Now Christmas Day also has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, cloudy skies and a high again of 74. The winds will calm to 6 mph. Friday night has a 20 percent chance of showers with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 60.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, too, with a high of 73 and a low of 60.

Sunday will be very similar, with a high of 72 and cloudy skies. A 30 percent chance of rain comes in around 2 a.m. Monday, with a low of 57.

And Tuesday also has a 40 percent chance of showers, more clouds and a high near 66.

There’s no mention of sunshine in this dreary forecast.

Try to have yourself a merry little Christmas anyway.
