North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation presented awards at annual meeting
The annual meeting of the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation was held Dec. 6-8 at the Sheraton Four Seasons and Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.
Congratulations to Rowan County Farm Bureau President Doug Patterson, who was recognized among his peers at the Presidents’ and Agents’ Luncheon.
Farm Bureau President Larry Wooten presented each winning county president with a limited edition Case knife. Each county’s agency force worked hard to qualify their county president for this recognition.
Special plaques were also presented to the agents and agencies whose production was superior during the contest period.
Law firm welcomes new associate attorney
The Law Firm of Whitley & Jordan, P.A. is pleased to announce that Amanda M. King has joined their firm as an associate attorney.
King was born and raised in Davie County and graduated from Davie High School in 2005. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she graduated in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in United States History. She graduated from Campbell University School of Law in May of 2014 where she was an articles editor for the Campbell Law Review.
She and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar as a licensed attorney in September of 2014. She joins Cecil L. Whitley and Darrin D. Jordan, partners of Whitley & Jordan, P.A. and Joseph P. Kesler who is an associate attorney and who joined the firm in June of 2015. She will enter into the general practice of law with a concentration in family law, to include divorce, child custody and support and equitable distribution matters. She will also handle criminal matters in the District Courts of Rowan County.
