Rowan weather: Cold weekend, wet week

The weekend is finally here and it’s probably going to be a busy one, since it’s the last weekend before Christmas.
It’s already cooling down, and our low tonight will be 28. Winds from the west northwest will continue at 6-13 mph.
Saturday will be sunny, but chilly, with a high of 48. Winds will shift to the south southwest, then the west southwest in the morning. Saturday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 24.
Sunday will be sunny and a little warmer, with a high of 54. The low Sunday will be 33.
A 20 percent chance of rain comes around Monday afternoon. Cloudy skies will lead to a high of 55. The chance of rain goes up Monday night to 50 percent, with a low of 46.
Rain and showers are likely Tuesday and Wednesday, with a 70 percent chance Tuesday and a high of 62 with cloudy skies. Tuesday night also has a 70 percent chance of rain, with a low of 55.
Wednesday’s 70 percent chance of showers will come with a high of 67. The chance of rain tapers off to 50 percent Wednesday night.
The chance of rain will be 40 percent for Christmas Eve, with mostly cloudy skies and a warm high of 71. Christmas Eve services may be dampened by the continuing 40 percent chance of showers, with a low of 53.
Sorry to say, there’s no white Christmas this year. Instead, we’ll have a 30 percent chance of showers, with peeks of sun and a high of 64.
