Rowan weather: Showers move in tonight

This morning’s low of 38 felt even colder after the last few spring-like days, but we’ll warm up under sunny skies and reach a high of 66.

Winds will come from the east northeast around 5 mph today. Tonight we can expect showers, mainly after 11 p.m., with an 80 percent chance of rain.

Thursday looks pretty wet, with a 100 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Some storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog is likely in the morning, and we will reach a high of 61. Winds will shift back to the southeast during the day, at 5-8 mph, then shift again to the southwest in the afternoon.

Thursday night has a 40 percent of showers, with a low of 48.

Mostly sunny on Friday, with a cooler high of 54 and west northwest winds at 6-11 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. Friday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 28.

Saturday will be quite chilly, despite the sunshine, with a high of just 48. Saturday night will be very cold, with a low of 28.

Sunday will be another sunny day, with a high of 54 and a low of 33.

For the week of Christmas, we’ll start out partly sunny Monday, with a high of 57 and a low of 44.

Tuesday brings a 30 percent chance of showers under mostly cloudy skies with a high of 64.
