From staff and wire reports

Salisbury’s boys won 66-58 against North Stanly on Friday in New London.
The Hornets (8-0) were led by D.J. Alexander (21 points), DeShawn Troutman (19) and Zay Harris (12).
“You ride the hot hand and D.J. and Zay had the hot hands tonight,” Salisbury coach Bryan Withers said. “It’s different guys stepping up for us every night, and that makes us tough to defend. You can’t pinpoint one or two guys.”
Withers praised the floor games and passing of Troutman and Isaac Baker.
“This might have been the best passing game we’ve had and the most unselfish game we’ve had,” Withers said.
Salisbury stayed on top during the game but couldn’t pull away mostly because Steven Misenheimer scored 28 for the Comets.
“He had an incredible night,” Withers said.
