Part of Peeler Road and part of Long Street closing for repairs

The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a portion of Peeler Road eastbound at the intersection of Cedar Springs Road in Salisbury for guardrail repair and shoulder widening. Weather permitting; work will begin Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7 a.m. and is expected to be complete by Friday, Dec. 18 at 6 a.m. Motorists will use Southmark Drive, Long Meadow Drive and Webb Road to detour around the closure. For the safety of the workers, as well as motorists and their passengers, NCDOT encourages drivers to pay extra attention, and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely. Due to a significant utility repair project, the 600 block of North Long Street in Salisbury at the East Franklin Street intersection in Salisbury is closed and will remain closed through the evening of Saturday, Dec. 12.
