Human resources specialist Harry Warren wants to build on Republican reform in the General Assembly if re-elected to his fourth term.

Warren, 65, filed last week for re-election to the 77th District seat in the NC House. He is in the midst of his third term.

“I think we’ve laid down a good foundation for lots of reform already in the General Assembly,” Warren said. “It’s time to build on those reforms.”

Cuts in personal income tax are among the ideas Warren says he supports.

Warren has attracted competition in the March 2016 Republican primary from University of North Carolina at Charlotte student Andrew Poston.

Warren has a degree in political science from Kent State University.

Prior to his election to the State House, Warren worked as a human resource specialist for Tar Heel Capital Corp.

Warren is a member of First United Methodist Church, where his family volunteers at Rowan Helping Ministries. He has been a Republican precinct chair, the 12th District delegate to the NC County Chairman’s Association, a Delegate to the NCGOP Executive Committee and served on the Rowan Republicans Youth and Minority Outreach Committee.

Warren and his wife Catherine have two daughters and three sons. His daughter Emily Lynn passed away in 2011.
