A sex offender placed on the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office most wanted list on Oct. 7 was arrested Monday morning.

Tamarcus Darnell Phillips, 22, was arrested in Gaston County and convicted of indecent liberties with a child in 2010. He served a term of one year and seven months. He was released from prison on separate charges on Aug. 7  and told to go to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and provide the address at which he would be living. But Phillips didn’t show. After a week, the Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest.

Phillips was arrested Monday by Salisbury police at a home in the 700 block of Victory Street. He was charged with failure to notify address change and probation violation. He has been placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $2,000 secured bond.
