Local artists will perform a benefit concert for two local teens fighting cancer, Robert Stephan Gilmore and Jalisa Gladden.

The concert will be held Sunday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. at Haven Lutheran Church, 207 W.  Harrison St. The concert is free and open to the public. There will be a free-will offering to assist the honorees with their medical bills.

The two children, Robert and Jalisa, will receive the entire offering. Artists planning to perform include Rebecca Stinson, Virginia Rush, Teresa Moore-Mitchell and Will McCray. All performing artists are donating their time and talent for this performance.

Pastor Ed Harper and the members of Haven Lutheran Church opened their church to support Robert, who is fighting cancer for the third time at the age of 19, while Jalisa Gladden was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer this year at the age of 9. For questions about the concert, please call the church at 704-636-4881.

If you are unable to attend the concert, you may forward your donation to Soldier’s Memorial AME Zion Church,  P.O. Box 4232 Salisbury, N.C. 28145.
