Bostian Elementary Good Citizens

KCS teacher honored with statewide Teacher of Excellence Award

The North Carolina Council of Exceptional Children (CEC) has honored Kannapolis City Schools teacher Ashley Thornbrew, as a Teacher of Excellence. Thornbrew is a speech teacher. During the annual CEC Conference in Greensboro, Thornbrew was honored for her innovative instructional techniques and her commitment to meeting the needs of all students.

Thornbrew has been with Kannapolis City Schools since 2009. She serves students at Shady Brook Elementary School and Kannapolis Intermediate School. She holds a bachelor of science degree in communication sciences and disorders from Radford University in Virginia. She also earned her master of science in communication sciences and disorders from Radford.
