Fran Moore of Salisbury has published a 48-page book, “A United States Citizen Opinion,” through Tate Publishing.

She will talk about the lessons and stories behind the book on Sunday, Nov. 22, at IsJays Sweets and Celebrations, 206. S. Main St., from 2-5 p.m. Signed copies of her book will be available for purchase.

A disabled veteran, Moore says she “felt spiritually compelled” to write the book. She is working on a bachelor’s degree at Livingstone College in religious studies and works with veterans at the Hefner VA Medical Center.

Moore uses her life experiences of divorce, homelessness and the real estate bust to form the basis of her book.  She wonders about the current state of America and if the United States needs to reform to remain united. She discusses the drain of immigration and other challenges facing the country.

She writes, “The foundation is cracking within sight, and the ‘law engineers’ are all embedded in history. The embedded ones have left a blue print that hinders mankind to build on the Creator’s soil.”

Moore says the country must stop relying on the past and established ways of doing things.
