This forecast is easy to write, with few complications.

After a low in the 30s, today will be sunny and warm up to 68 degrees, ideal for the Veterans Day parade, which starts at 1 p.m. at the VA Medical Center and then downtown at 2:30 p.m., marching from Stallings Baptist Church north to Kerr Street.

Tonight will be clear, but not as cold, with a low of 45 and south southwest wind at 3-5 mph.

Thursday brings just a 20 percent chance of rain, after noon. It will start cloudy, then clear, with a high near 70. It will be windy, though, with south wind at 7-14 mph, shifting to the west, and gusts as high as 23 mph. Thursday night will be clear, with a low of 42 and west winds at 7-10 mph.

Friday will be sunny again, but cooler, with a high near 61. And the west wind will continue at 6-13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. You’d think it was March. Friday night will be clear and we’ll drop to freezing — 32 degrees.

More sun for Saturday, but cooler again, with a high of 54. A clear night will allow the temperature to drop below freezing, to 31 degrees.

Sunday will be sunny with a high of 58 and a low of 35.

Monday, too, will be sunny, with a high of 60 and a low of 43.

Next mention of possible showers is Tuesday, with a 30 percent chance. Still, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 60.
