North Carolina High School and Jr. High Rodeo Association Rodeo Event this weekend

CLEVELAND — Spectators are welcome at the NC High School and Jr. High Rodeo Association Rodeo. The event takes place over two days: Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 24-25 at 1 p.m., at the Livengood Arena at 875 Redmon Road. Tickets are $5 at the door and kids age 6 and under get in free.

There will be bull riding, wild horse riding, team roping, calf roping, breakaway roping and barrel racing. Bring a lawn chair!

Junior High Divison

Jake Toberer, grade 7, Western Classical Academy (Jake Was NCHSRA 2014/2015 Rookie of the Year and All-Around Cowboy, at NCHSRA First Rodeo on Sept. 27. Jake came in first place in chute dogging and bull riding.)

Alyssa Hoshall, grade 7, Enterprise Homeschool

Clay Livengood, grade 7, Livengood Home School

Jaxson Tucker, grade 8, West Rowan Middle

High School Divison

Ashlan Campbell, grade 12, West Rowan High

Meghan Carriker, grade 11, West Rowan High

Zack Toberer, grade 12, Western Classical Academy (Zack Was 2014/2015 NCHSRA All-Around Cowboy and at the Sept. 27 rodeo he came in first place in team roping with his partner Wyatt Martin and reined cowhorse event)

Wyatt Martin, grade 12, West Rowan High School, (First Place in Team Roping with Zack Toberer)

Bailey Livengood, grade 12, Livengood Home School (Bailey was NCHSRA 2014/2015 All-Around Cowgirl and came in first place in pole bending event).
