Rowan weather: Cloudy today; fall starts tomorrow

Today feels like fall, but tomorrow, when fall officially arrives, it’s going to be a bit more summery.
We’re starting out at 61 degrees, and some areas might be seeing a little mist. There’s only a 20 percent chance of showers today, but it will remain cloudy, with a high of 72. Winds will pick up from the north at 5-8 mph this afternoon.
Tonight will be cloudy and 61, with a chance of fog forming towards morning.
No chance of rain Wednesday, the first day of fall, and it will be partly sunny, with a high of 78. A north northeast wind will blow 6-11 mph. Wednesday night’s low will be 58.
A 30 percent chance of rain is expected Thursday, and it will be mostly cloudy again, with a high of 73 and winds from the northeast at 7-11 mph. Then Thursday night, we have a 50 percent chance of rain, with a low around 60.
Friday has a 40 percent chance of showers, with more clouds and a high of 73. The chance of rain Friday night will be 30 percent, with another low around 60.
Mostly cloudy for Saturday, too, with a 30 percent chance of showers, and a high of 73 again. Saturday night’s low will be 58.
Sunday, too , will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 72. A 30 percent chance of rain comes in Sunday night, with a low of 58 again.
The same rain chance sticks around for Monday, as do the clouds, with a high of 72.
We desperately need rain. After the hot summer, a few days of clouds won’t be so bad.
