Rowan weather: Cloudy, chance of rain

After a scorching Sunday, today’s forecast includes clouds and a 40 percent chance of rain.

Starting off at an unusually muggy 66, the day will warm to 73, with scattered showers after 11 a.m. East northeast wind will blow around 7 mph. Tonight retains the 40 percent chance of showers, with a low of 61.

Tuesday has a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1 p.m., with more cloudy skies and a high of 74. Wind will come from the north northeast at 6-9 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy with a low of 57.

The sun comes back Wednesday and we’ll warm up to 80 degrees, with light northeast wind at 5-10 mph. The low will be 58.

Thursday will be mostly sunny again, with a high near 77 and a low around 57.

The next chance of rain comes Friday, 30 percent, with a few thunderstorms possible. It will be partly sunny and 77 degrees. With another 30 percent chance of rain and storms Friday night, the low will be 59.

Saturday will be partly sunny, with a high of 75 and a 30 percent chance of showers. The low, again with a 30 percent chance of showers, will be 57.

Sunday also has a 30 percent chance of showers, but it will be partly sunny with a high of 71.
