The 2015 Catawba College PRIDE field production of “Chicago, the Musical” is comprised of students from varied academic disciplines, including the performing arts.
In addition to marching instrumentalists, the PRIDE also incorporates a “visual unit” (commonly referred to as colorguard) who are vocalists, dancers and actors. This additional unit enhances the level of visual entertainment as well the total aural (musical) product.
The PRIDE Band is under the direction of Kelley Feeney, director of athletic bands. Visual instructor is Kim Etters, and percussion instructor is Peter Zlotnick. The field design and music programming for the PRIDE is supervised by Dr. Steve Etters, associate professor of music education.
