Rowan weather: Still a little sticky out there

The muggy, warm start to today is a taste of things to come.

We have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m., with partly sunny skies and a high of 87. Southwest wind will pick up this afternoon to 5-9 mph.

Tonight, it’s another 30 percent chance of showers and storms, with a low of just 70.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 9 a.m. Thursday, with a 60 percent chance. It will be mostly cloudy, but still quite warm, with a high of 86. The chance of rain decreases slightly Tuesday night to 50 percent, with a low around 66.

Little accumulation is expected except in heavier storms, which are possible.

Friday’s chance of showers and storms is 40 percent, more likely after 1 p.m. It will be partly sunny and 84. The same chance of rain hangs around Friday night, with a low of 65.

For the weekend, Saturday also has a 40 percent chance of storms and showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a much cooler high of 80. The chance of rain goes up to 60 percent for Saturday night, with a low of 59.

Sunday looks to be partly sunny and cooler yet with a high near 76. Sunday night’s low will be 54, a good night to open the windows.

Monday should be sunny and 76 again, but not as cool overnight, with a low around 57.

And next Tuesday looks like it will be sunny and 80.

Could it be a taste of fall, finally?
