Area residents named to Virginia Tech dean’s list

The following Virginia Tech students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester: Jon-Paul A. Query of Mooresville, a sophomore majoring in mathematics, and Joshua M. Schiemann, a senior majoring in human development.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.

 

James Madison University welcomes local students in the class of 2019

James Madison University welcomes the class of 2019 to campus this month. The incoming freshman class represents a diverse group of individuals who hail from more than 30 states, the District of Columbia and more than 30 countries around the world.

Zachary Kinney of Mooresville plans to major in media arts and design, and Carley Cox of China Grove plans to major in sport and recreation management.
