According to scanner reports, crews responded to reports of a structure fire at the second building of Gildan Yarn, 2121 Heilig Road, at 2:30 a.m. Monday morning. Units on the scene reported heavy interior smoke with employee evacuation in progress. Multiple departments and equipment responded and began fighting the fire. The location or cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

The fire was out around 3 a.m., with crews attempting to secure the sprinkler system and assess the damage. Medical assistance was requested for two patients with minor smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
