North Hills Christian School begins its 2015-16 school year Aug. 19.

Junior kindergarten through fifth grade classes begin at 8:10 a.m. and end at 2:45 p.m., and middle and high school classes begin at 8:05 a.m. and end at 2:45 p.m.

Orientation for all students in junior kindergarten through 12th grade will be held in the Helen Kelley Smith Gymnasium Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. The gymnasium will open at 5:30 p.m. to allow parents to visit booths that will offer information about before- and after-school care; booster club; athletics; IMPACT 2016 featuring Mike Minter, former Carolina Panther; advance tickets for the movie “War Room”; Girl Scouts; Cub Scouts and many other opportunities for involvement. North Hills Christian School encourages parents, grandparents and guardians to get involved.

New to North Hills this year is the standard day, which lasts until 1 p.m., or an extended day, which lasts until 2:45 p.m. for junior kindergarten and kindergarten. Extended day afternoons will offer enrichment programs in math, reading, art, music and more.

For high schoolers, North Hills offers college preparatory, honors, Advanced Placement, online and dual enrollment courses, as well as The Honors Academy at North Hills Christian School for the academically gifted. Middle school students have honors and college preparatory options, and tiered instruction is utilized in elementary classrooms.
