•  Price High School Alumni will not meet in July. Regular schedule resumes in August.

• BBQ chicken fundraiser Saturday 2-8 p.m. to benefit West Rowan Bible Teachers Association. Held at Knox Chapel UMC, 3520 Amity Hill Road, Cleveland. ½ BBQ chicken, slaw, beans, bread, desserts, drink $8, eat in or take out.

• 89th annual family reunion of Jacob Henry Hall Sloop and Margaret Catherine Deal Sloop, 1 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Lutheran Church, Kannapolis. Bring picnic basket and beverage. The Waldo Sloop Family will be hosting. Information: Amie Goodman, 704-591-2999 or amiegoodman@hotmail.com

• DAV Chapter 96, Monday, July 27, Salisbury VA Bldg. 6. Fellowship meal 5 p.m., membership meeting 6 p.m.

•  J.C. Price Post 107 Oldies But Goodies and R&B, Friday, 9pm-2am. DJ Danny D. $3/single, $5 couples. Dress cool and casual. Must be 21 or older with proper ID.

• Dixonville/Lincoln Community Association is meeting Tuesday, July 28 at 6 p.m. at the Community Room on Newsome Road. All members asked to be present.
