Faith board to discuss proposed business

Faith’s board of Aldermen will once again discuss a rezoning request that would allow a business to be built at the intersection of Faith Road and Crescent Road.

The request was previously denied by the town’s planning board because there weren’t enough parking spaces. A company representative said he planned to add more spaces and resubmit the plans.

More than a dozen town members attended the board’s June meeting to show their opposition to the proposed business. Although a name for the business has not been officially released, neighbors say they have been told it would be a Dollar General.

The board will also review their normal water, fire, public works and financial reports.

The board will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Faith Town Hall, 100 N. Main St. in Faith.
