Do you think that you make the best fresh salsa? Are you willing to showcase your salsa-making skills in the latest Farmers’ Market competition?

If so, the Salisbury Farmers’ Market is looking for you. On July 25, the Market will host its first ever Salsa Showdown.

With produce being in peak season, you can find everything you need to make the perfect, fresh and local salsa. We want anyone who thinks they may have the skills to compete.

You can be an amateur, chef or salsa master. We know that there are tons of recipes, so to keep things comparable, contestants must use tomatoes as their base. The Salisbury Farmers’ Market will provide tomatoes, chips, salt, pepper and limes.

The cost to enter is only $5, which is nominal for lifetime recognition of having the best salsa around. Space is limited, so register early to save your spot! Registration deadline is Thursday, July 23.
