Tyler Alan Peacock earns Eagle Award

Tyler Alan Peacock, 16, of Mooresville, received his Eagle Scout Award Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Former Scoutmaster Lewis Safrit of Troop 328 made the presentation.
Tyler has earned 38 merit badges and has served as Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader. He is a member of Order of the Arrow and earned his Arrow of Light in 2010, Cub Scout’s highest achievement.
A sophomore at South Rowan High School, Tyler is the son of Mark and Rhonda Peacock of Mooresville; the grandson of Ronnie and Priscilla Lipe of China Grove and Clyde and Gail Peacock of Mooresville; and the great-grandson of Lillian Mault of China Grove.
Tyler’s Eagle project was a book drive. He collected and distributed approximately 1,500 new and used books to needy families at Bostian Elementary School through the Backpack Buddy program at Ebenezer Lutheran Church and Main Street Mission in China Grove.
