Police: Early morning North Clay Street fire is arson
Police officials say they are treating an early morning North Clay Street fire at a vacant home as arson.
Multiple fire departments responded to the fire at 300 N. Clay St., where police confirmed no one was living at the home. Fire crews were at the scene around 2:15 a.m.
Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said the fire is believed to have been started on the back porch. The house was being renovated, she said.
