Rowan weather: The heat is on

We have a slightly higher chance of rain today than predicted yesterday. It’s up to 40 percent, with isolated showers until 1 p.m., then scattered showers and thunderstorms later on.
It will be partly sunny and hot, with a high of 88. At 8 a.m., it’s a muggy 71 degrees, with 98 percent humidity. Heavy rainfall and cloud to ground lightning are possible in storms. The chance of showers tonight is 30 percent, with a low of 68.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high of 91 and a west wind at 3-7 mph. The low will be 70.
For Sunday, there’s a 20 percent chance of showers in the early afternoon, then showers and thunderstorms later. The high will be 92, with partly sunny skies. The 20 percent chance of rain continues Sunday night, with a warm low of 72.
Monday has a 30 percent chance of showers, with storms possible in the afternoon. It will be mostly sunny and very hot, with a high of 94. The low will again be 72.
Tuesday will be a scorcher, with mostly sunny skies and another high of 94. The low will be just 73, quite warm.
Wednesday continues the trend of 94-degree days, with a 30 percent chance of storms and showers. The chance of rain goes up to 40 percent Wednesday night, with a low of 71.
Thursday will be two degrees less than the previous days, with a high of 92 and partly sunny skies. There’s also a 40 percent chance of showers and storms.
