With rising temperatures and little chance of rain, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are all predicted to be code yellow air quality days.
Code yellow is moderate, meaning sensitive people may be affected.
Today is the start of the heat wave, though we are in June. The high will be 89, with mostly sunny skies. Tonight’s low will be 67.
Thursday has a 20 percent chance of rain morning and night, possibly in the form of thunderstorms in the afternoon. It will be mostly sunny with a high near 91. A light breeze from the south will come in during the afternoon. The low, with the chance of rain, will be 69.
Friday, too, has a chance of showers and storms, after 11 a.m. But it will be partly sunny, with a high of 91. No chance of rain Friday night, with another low of 69.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 91, again. Saturday night’s low will be around 70.
For Sunday, raise the temperature 1 degree, for a high of 92, with mostly sunny skies. Sunday night’s low will be 69 again.
There’s a 30 percent chance of rain Monday, and it will be 91 again. The low will be 70.
And then prepare yourself for Tuesday, when the high will be 94, with mostly sunny skies and calm winds.
Please check on your senior friends and neighbors and help them stay cool and hydrated during this very hot weather. Give your pets plenty of water and a shady spot to rest if they have to stay outside.
