A new photography opportunity for pets is being offered by the Rowan Museum to the public on Saturday, June 20 — Pets On the Porch.

Participants may bring their pets to the front yard of the museum’s 1815 federal style Utzman-Chambers House at 116 S. Jackson St., Salisbury on June 20, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

A professional photographer will be at the site with museum volunteers. Participants and pet will receive their digital photos on a thumb drive for $25 per setting. There is a $10 fee for each additional setting.

Pets (and owners) can be posed on the steps and porch (with or without furniture). All animals must be on a leash or crated upon arrival.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ups can be taken. Call the Rowan Museum at 704-633-5946 or email rowanmuseum@fibrant.com to schedule appointments or for more information. The museum accepts cash, checks and credit cards. All proceeds benefit the museum.
