With a slight chance of rain in Saturday’s forecast, Livingstone College’s gymnasium has been selected as the alternate location for the 11th annual Pops at the Post.

Livingstone’s gym will be used in the case of prolonged wet weather. A final decision to move the event will be made by noon on Saturday. The National Weather Service is predicting a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday for the Salisbury area.

The National Weather Service is projecting a high near 83 degrees and a low around 64 for Saturday.

Pops at the Post is officially scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. in front of the Salisbury Post loading dock. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Salisbury Swing Band will play before the Salisbury Symphony begins its show.

Patrons sit in parking lots across from the Salisbury Post loading dock on South Church Street.

The theme for this year’s concert is “Rowan Life.”
