Please join us at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury (2570 Saint Peters Church Road) on May 31 at noon for the dedication of our new garden ministry. The dedication service will be followed by a covered dish meal.

The Holy Spirit has been moving through St. Peter’s! This year, we began a garden ministry. The congregation set aside some of its land to grow vegetables, and all the crops grown in the garden will be for the benefit of the hungry in our local area.

As the disciples at St. Peter’s began to imagine how the work of the garden would look, a couple of blessings became obvious. The first is that this would be an intergenerational ministry as children worked side-by-side with parents and grandparents.

Another blessing will come to the people in need of food in our local area. Many people in Salisbury lack access to whole, fresh, natural foods. Through the partnership with Rowan Helping Ministries, fresh produce will be distributed to those in the Salisbury area.

These are just two blessings. The truth is that God is alive. This means that there will always be even greater blessings than we can predict!
