Rowan weather: Warm weekend ahead

Here we are, eagerly anticipating the weekend and wondering what the weather will be — more of the same, chance of showers, warm temperatures.

Today will reach 84 degrees under partly sunny skies. We have just a 20 percent chance of showers between 1 and 2 p.m., then a chance of showers and storms. A light wind will blow from the southeast. Tonight, a 20 percent chance of showers and storms and a low of 61.

Saturday brings a 20 percent chance of showers and storms in the afternoon, but it will be partly sunny and 85, with a breeze from the south. Saturday night, same thing, with a low of 65.

For Sunday, the chance of rain is 30 percent, with more partly sunny skies and a high of 87. Sunday night, the chance of storms and showers goes up to 40 percent, with a low of 65. Storms are possible in the early morning hours.

On Monday, the chance of showers and storms goes up to 50 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 84. Monday night, too, has a 50 percent chance of rain, with a low of 64.

Even Tuesday has a 50 percent chance of showers, with a high of 78 under cloudy skies. Tuesday night, the chance drops to 40 percent.

And it’s a 40 percent chance of showers Wednesday, mostly cloudy skies and a high near 78. The rain chance decreases to 30 percent for Wednesday night and Thursday. The nighttime low will be 62.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy again, with a high near 81.
